trying to operate on a budget...

any suggestions for a good casual shoe (like a sneaker or something, but not a tennis/running shoe) for under 100 that looks good, but isnt totally uncomfortable

mainly wear with shorts (texas summer), sometimes jeans

and no jack purcells... everyone around here has those

I actually dont see that many purcells outside of SF, chucks on the otherhand are everywhere. other than that, i'll suggest spring courts or even superga

i think common projects has the nicest looking plain sneaker, but theyre upwards of $300.

I'd recommend the Adidas Stan Smith. It's a classic, looks really good and is very comfortable.

Revolve also has the 15% off coupon on all the time, and with that, most of their line comes in under 100. Never owned a pair but would've had my balances been higher at the time.

I like the berry. I've grown sick of wearing white, brown, and black sneakers. This pair of Creative Recreation Dicoco Lo was the last I picked up and they get a lot of love.

+1, inexpensive, comfortable, and always relevant...can't go wrong with a pair of adi Stan Smiths. Adidas Rod Lavers are another option for a similar look and price.
