I received the following from Tony; Should you decide to kindly go ahead with
the donation, please be careful putting your name down if you would like to stay
anonymous.

I do not think he will be wearing G&G shoes for the marathon though!

Thank you for your kind help!

I hope you don't mind me e-mailing you with this but I thought you might be
kind enough to make a small donation towards the charity that I am running
the New York Marathon for? The charity is called hope and homes for children
and is a worthy cause, if you want to check out a little more information
you can visit www.hopeandhomes.org <http://www.hopeandhomes.org/>

My target is to raise GBP2000, so I need all the help I can get.

I know that we all do our little bit for charity in our own way and the
being constantly approached by many different organisations can be a pain, I
find this myself as I donate on a monthly basis and raise for events.
However all I am asking for is as little as . Its no problem as far as I
am concerned if you choose not to sponsor and I fully understand that a
pound here and there can add up to a lot of money.

If you do choose to sponsor me for this event you will need to visit the
just giving website, the details are below. Just click on the link and
follow the instructions.

Kindest regards

Tony

I will be happily parting with my money if he wears G&G shoes for the marathon.

Perhaps a G&G collaboration with Nike Air technology (like Cole Haan!) is in the cards?

Two years in a row I've paid my $11.00 and failed to make the marathon lottery.

It's rigged!

I think he's missing a huge marketing opportunity by not making himself a pair of shoes to run in.

Seriously, I'd be interested to know what a bespoke shoe maker would wear for running.

I wonder if he could de-construct a modern running shoe and attach the sole to a nice wingtip.

Years ago, somebody ran the NY Marathon in a pair of Rockport wingtips.
