Did I buy an orphaned suit coat? I'm under the impression that Isaia Argento is a sportcoat line but I just thought I'd check with the peeps. I haven't recieved it yet.

Looks like orphaned suit jacket to me. The way to tell is the fabric tag. A means suit; G means jacket.

I know it appears to be pinstripe but with the fabric composition I thought maybe it was just a weird trendy kind of fabric. I guess I'll see when I get it

I'd be interested in hearing opinions of this suit, and in general Jil Sander construction/reputation. I am looking for a summer suit to wear to an evening wedding in 6 weeks.

I wear a 40 but the chest measurement sounds closer to 40 than 42. I have asked for shoulder measurements.
