A lot more than DJ Anderson? Is it worth it?

That's a question I never see discussed.. is Kiton, LP, Borrelli et al fabrics really worth the premium? I know they are 'exclusives', but the way I see it... everything is an exclusive.

TM Goldline has fabrics that Alumo doesn't... and vice versa.

But are those Kiton, LP, Borrelli, et al fabrics really better in terms of quality?

Oh bother. What's the lower cost linen / cotton alternative? I'm pretty sure TM Silver Line has some 100% linens, but I feel like 100% linen is a little higher maintenance than a cotton/linen blend.

Kiton, Borrelli and Brioni are certainly worth the extra, fantastic fabrics.

Folding
  • Button up your shirt and place face down on a flat surface.
  • Take a standard glossy magazine, place it at the centre of the yoke with the edges near the shoulder seam.
  • Fold the side nearest to you over the magazine.
  • Lay the sleeve parallel with the folded edge, then fold the sleeve with 3 or 4 folds, concertina fashion, to fit within the dimensions of the magazine.
  • Fold the opposite side and sleeve in a similar manner.
  • Make a fold at the shirt tail then bring the fold up to the shoulders, wrapping as tightly as possible round the magazine.
  • Turn folded shirt over and remove the magazine and stack shirts top to tail
.

(Actually, I think the concertina advice is new. I just lay the sleeves parallel, and fold up the shirt tail and sleeves in one.)

Because I can't wait to be told how much I can improve my wardrobe, I didn't wait to get the rest of my shirts back from the laundry.

Something casual (linen/cotton blend on the left) and something dressy.

Nice.

I'll be interested to hear which one you like more.

First shirts from Mytailor. I think they're Thomas Mason fabric, or possibly "Executive Collection". Which seems to be HongKongese for Acorn.

All that posted have very nice shirts. I didn't see one that I didn't like paired with the right suit and tie.

I do fail to see the point of folding shirts though, when hangars are readily available for your closets.

I guess I'm just old.

^^^ That color is really nice, Tomasso. Is that solid linen or a cotton/linen blend?
