I come across these all the time in thrift/vintage shops, and I'm wondering if y'all think these can be pulled off...

Of course, McQueen can do it:

But is it possible outside of a prison camp or 1959 PhysEd class?

Where is/was this available? I have a vintage short sleeve sweatshirt with banded sleeves, like that one. I like it.

I only have one of the short sleeve versions in black, which I purchased from Ian in Seattle. Odin in NYC and MAC in SF would be other good places to call and check. Oi Polloi also has them online, but I don't think they're worth the price they're asking for them. They're pretty lightweight though (probably between a t-shirt and a normal sweatshirt).

I have been looking around for vintage type sweatshirts lately myself, and I think I'm going to give a Buzz Rickson one a try next.

BDG made a nice sweatshirt tee that didn't look like you just cut it off, earlier this season... However, they appear to be sold out at UO.

I think to work and not look that much like Russel Athletic gear the sleeves can't be baggy/look like cut offs.
The ones from Jil Sander work; but, I imagine something from Y-3 or Acne would as well for a more sporty vibe.

Indy would be my guess, or San Diego. As a Pats fan in NY, I see first-hand that Jets fans know that things are hopeless and Giants fans are too busy planning a dynasty to worry about these things. Charger fans are feeling the window close and Colts fans know their QB is only one bad game away from the happy feet chicken dance days again.
