I saw a few pair today at Sak's off 5th in ATL. Best stocked off 5th I've ever seen. RLPL, some Kiton Shirts for $216, some racks Zanella wool (triple pleat

) and cotton pants and a couple of other decent looking things. Much better than I've ever seen in Cleveland, Detroit, or Chicago. Anyway, they also had some interesting looking shoes from a brand called Eduardo G. They appeared to be Goodyear Welted with construction very similar to AE's (lots of extra sole for the welt) and pretty soft leather. I think they were from either south america or portuagal. I had a long day of travel, so my brain is fried. Anybody know anything about them? They were $350 on sale for $150.

I own 4 pairs of Eduardo G shoes, I like them a lot. I got mine for $90 a pair at Portabella Mens stores here in Manhattan. The only other retailer I saw them at was DSW, which had them for $119.

Very well made shoes, I have a black full brogue, brown suede full brogue, chestnut semi brogue (I have since antiqued it) & black semi brogue.

That's what someone else said when I posted a similar thread looking for info on Eduardo G over on AAAC.

To the OP, the shoes are made in Italy, & are not Goodyear welted, they are Rapid Blake constructed. I can see how the channel would throw you off, but if you look inside the shoe in the toe area you will see the stitching. This is what lends to their very light weight.

They are also on the slightly wide side so persons with a-bit-wider-than- most-medium-widths will love the fit.

Is there a Juanito L. that makes a Jermyn II model?

BTW: I like the style of the Eduardo Gs. If Bris likes them enough to buy that many pair then he is getting his moneys worth. Price seems very fair.

Certain retailers purchase these shoes in bulk at the shoe Expo in Nevada. I bought 4 pair because I never had a shoe fit & feel so good right out of the box.

OK Folks - I am wearing a pair of Eduardo G loafers which I bought at DSW. They may be the nicest and most comfortable shoes I have bought in 5 or more years. I am trying to find more. DSW of course deals mostly with end lots and such - so it's catch as catch can.

Any other ideas? Web search leads to nothing. Even Portabella's does not have them on the web site anymore.

hmm, I noticed some "EG's" at DSW recently and it was the first I'd heard of them. I will have to check them out. Maybe I can flip it and list it on ebay as "EG".

I don't know where you are located but DSW on Old Country Road in Carle Place, NY has a nice variety of EGs. They even have a few of the higher end EG Collection(?) shoes for a bit more.

I just picked up a pair at DSW in San Francisco:

These are from their "collection" line (if that makes any difference), are made in Portugal rather than Italy. As bigbris1 states, they are a touch wider than most in the D width, which is a godsend for me as I seem to occupy that space between D and E widths. Comparing these to my C&J-made Peal&Co 10E in size, these are 10.5D but are nearly the same length but are a little narrower. A perfect fit for me actually. Cheers to an affordable & decent quality shoe that fits (me) great.
