This comes from Paul Stuart and is packaged in antique Italian bottles. It is the most wonderful sandalwood fragrance.

Some of the Dunhill fragrances smell almost mass-market to me. But I especially enjoy this cologne.

My wife and I both love Creed products. This one is Irish Tweed. Try it next time you are in Neimans.

Aqua de Parma is a classic for all the right reasons. But it reminds me of my Italian honeymoon on Lake Garda. A good fragrance has a way or triggering wonderful memories, doesn't it?

Acqua di Parma, is just so classic its unreal. Perfect for a warm day, but you can get away with it in the cool too. Its not cloying, its fresh, but it has depth. Great for daily wear. I wouldn't wear it to a formal event/special occasion/night out though.

I've had Green Irish Tweed before, but I prefer MillÃ

rial does what Irish Tweed does without the earthy elements, and somehow I just prefer it like that.

I'm an absolute fragrance noob, so this should be an interesting thread for me. Admittedly, I've never really purchased my own stuff...it's always been gifts from Grandma. LOL. I'd love a new fragrance for the summer/early fall, and I'm interested in the Acqua Di Parma scent. Would that work? Where can I smell that stuff?

DP is perfect for summer, can't go wrong. It is pricey though.

If that matters, I also like DR Harris Arlington, 4711, and Taylor's #74 Victorian Limes.

I almost forgot my DR Harris Arlington until Leon12 reminded me. Thats funny because I use this virtually every day. It is "resident of Britain" but easy on my nose and sinuses. I have a stock of it at home and in my gym bag. It is a great all-around fragrance that I found at the Conran Shop in London about ten years ago. I now order it online and it also comes in handy plastic bottles for travel. I don't care for the cologne however. It is the aftershave I like. Maybe that fresh lime scent reminds me of a good Gin and Tonic?

So are you a BNoter then? I have in the neighborhood of 100 fragrances, but photographing them at this point is just really difficult.

How do you like that Amouage?

I have found this one to be very nice. Extremely fresh, yet it has a nice depth to it. The scent, to be honest, reminds me of what one would think a well dressed man should smell like.

Me, too. Been a Basenoter for years! I have hundreds of scents, including full bottles, decants (the trade and sale of which has sadly been quashed), and samples. My (not nearly up-to-date) wardrobe is here.

damn, Creed seems to be a popular choice among the forum! Some really elegant scents in members' photos.

i tried the paul smith london for a casual scent, but I don't wear it much and should probably sell it if possible-- it has sort of a coconut undertone.

although green irish tweed is one of my favorites, thought I'd try the santal and really liked it for formal/ suit days.

however, the best scent I've ever found is still ADP's mandorlo di sicilia (sicilian almond) in the blu mediterraneo collection-- perfect for every day wear, pretty women love it, and fairly good 'curb appeal' as something you can only find in select stores.
