My Rescue Fit (Thinking about sizing down)

I bought APC Rescues in a size 30 after recommendations of sizing down 3. Perhaps my current jeans are bought too loose and I should have gone down 4 because these only fit snugly and I"m afraid they will stretch out too much within a week. What do you guys think of the fit? I'm assuming I can swap out to new standards too but I think I'm just sizing down 1 with the rescues.

sizing down 3 huh...those look fine, maybe even a bit tight for rescues the fit looks more like NS. I sized up 2 on my OS and they're doing fine, been wearing them on and off (mostly off) for the past 6 or so months.

i never understood being anal about stretching...why can't you just wear a belt with those jeans

the new APC denim stretches an awful lot. I think that rescue fit is fine, though.

yeah i've noticed mine have stretched a bit in the waist...they're probably something like a 34 or even a 35 at this point. I bought mine when i was going through a phase where i had a slight gut...now that i've slimmed down again, i wear them with a belt and they're kinda slouchy but definitely not sloppy saggy like i *********** in them. Fits just fine for me.

I could wear them fine like they are and even with 1" of stretch but I think I want more of a snug fit than my 33" Seven "Slouchy" My current 14oz selvage jeans sure stretched a shitload so I'm kind of worried about these.

they should fit tight when you first get them. Discomfort (ie: "These are really tight!") the first few days is common with those who are happiest about the size they've purchased.

Fit looks good. My rescues fit slightly tighter when I bought them and haven't stretched out too crazily. The waist stretched but they are still tight on my thighs.

You look pretty tall and with normal thigh proportion so the Rescue fit is pretty flexible. If you went down another size, they would definitely stretch out, and the final difference would mostly be in the rise. If you're planning on washing every six months, consider going down. If you're planning on washing every two months, probably stay where you're at. I think they'll look good either way.

Fit looks good right now. How long have you worn them? Ive had 2 pairs of rescues in different sizes and found that they end up 4-5" larger than tagged size after stretching. (My 34s measure 38-39 right now).

That's a really good fit as is, which makes me think that yes, you might want to go down another size.

On a semi-related tangent, how is it that pictures of brand new denim always make me want to go out and buy a new pair of jeans? Something about that crisp new denim before the combs and whiskers have set....
