Guess I’m on a Zonkey Chelsea kick, just received my MTO today. Disappointed in the hard lean toward red, but such is life when ordering on the internets. I should know better than to order without a swatch example first 🤦🏽‍♂️ Still, stellar work by the folks at Zonkey.

Amazing red shade. Of course, if expecting brown, you will be disappointed, but the colour is stunning.

Very nice chelseas! This is very red in comparison to Russian grains they have, what’s the leather? Big fan of the sailor last. Thinking of doing another jodhpur mto this year. My cognac horsebutt pair is my most worn pair in 2024, thinking of doing something in their reindeer walnut or Utah calf.

Yeah, I thought so too, I’m a huge fan of their reindeer, the brown that is. The jodhpurs I have in that leather is just…. This pair is actually done in the walnut reindeer, I was not expecting red. Being a Texas boy, I don’t ever remember seeing a red walnut.🤷🏾‍♂️ For me it’s going to pretty much be a jeans boot, thanks to the red.

Red can be as dressy as brown in my opinion, just a little more flamboyant.

I would certainly wear those lovely boots with my tailoring.

You know what…you’re right. Those who know me personally can attest, I don’t have a problem with a little flamboyance on occasion.
