So as far as I can tell, ZB doesn't do super narrow waists so the Vibram would just stop before it got to the waist. It appears to me that the Winson one is curved to provide a seamless transition into the fiddleback waist. Expected timeframe is 10-14 weeks.

Couple updates from ZB

- "For thin half rubber soles we use other versions from Vibram, depending on what we have in stock at the moment. For half rubber soles, we use our regular leather heels with part rubber top lift." However, we don't all have to agree to use the rubber half soles since those are done after the shoes are finalized. Here is a pic of what it'll look like.

They also offer an option of a standard ("city sole") - see below

Toe taps come in standard steel, but brass can be requested. Only caveat is toe taps can only be added to leather sole and again can be requested after, so we don't all have to agree.

So I guess the outstanding question is whether we want to stick with leather soles and each individually can choose whether to add a half sole/toe taps or pick either Vibram rubber (Studded) or Vibram "City-sole". Here is the price list for the sole options.

- hand welted leather soles (standard)

- hand welted leather/Vibram rubber soles (standard)

- hand welted double leather soles (up-charge € 35)

- hand welted storm welt (up-charge € 30)

- hand welted leather soles with thin half rubber soles (up-charge € 40)

- metal toe-taps (up-charge € 45) - steel

Personally I’d votes for Vibram Studded soles, but I’m fully aware it’s not for everyone.

I’ll take leather soles when I wanted to claim my insurance

Since metal taps and vibram topy's can be done separately, what if we went with double leather and the folks that wanted a rubber bottom can opt for the Vibram topy? If that works, I'll get this over ASAP. Thanks guys!
