I got the opportunity to get a new pair of denim from the company Zipfit (won a comp and Im getting a free pair of denim of my choice) and had a couple questions. I have my eye on the ES Fulton in Pony Boy which is a slim/straight cut and in Italian selvage if I understand correctly. The brands they carry are Fidelity, Notify, 7, CoH, DL1961, Agave, Mavi, Joe's, Bleulab, and ES (id prefer something raw, selvage, or half selvage). After using their "algorithm" I found that they pointed me towards a slim cut, which was no surprise since I normally wear the Jcrew 484 or some Levi 514s for a little more room (im 6ft 160lbs with a skinny lower half) and the 484s fit very comfortably for a slim cut. From some previous threads I have gone through, people seem to like the Fulton cut, but I havnt seen much on the Kyrre Taper. Both come in the Maz Dark wash (which seemed to be popular back in the '05-'07 threads), but I just wanted to get a feel for what people had to say about Earnest Sewn these days or any of the other brands previously mentioned. Im familiar with 7, Mavi, and Joe's, but any thoughts on the others?? Maybe LA Guy can help me out since hes the known Denim Guru around here. Zipfit has most of the washes and cuts in all of the brands mentioned above, but Earnest Sewn seems to be the best bet.

I decided to go with the ES Fulton in the pony boy wash. After searching through some older threads, I am under the impression that ES does half selvedge (just the front half of the jeans are selvedge). Can anyone confirm/deny this for me? The threads I was reading were started in 2007, so I wondered if this was still the case?
