Hello gentlemen,
I recently bagged 2 pairs of Zenobi shoes on eBay. Together they cost me around 100 Eur. I was really curious about the brand so I pulled the plug and got both. This was despite the fact that both pairs have minor blemishes as they were store models. I can easily fix those though...
According to the listing the RRP is about 440 Eur for each pair (to be taken with a grain of asphalt salt of course). Does anyone know anything about Zenobi as a shoe making company and their products? My search of the internet revealed a few old threads about the brand Zenobi which assigned passing grades but nothing in the form of thorough discussion of construction and value. I have photographed the black pair which I got. They seem okay in terms of construction. I think they are Goodyear welted which is rather unusual for Italian shoes though the stitches are pretty large in comparison with those implemented by finer shoe makers like Carmin of Spain. Also, my pair has stitched-over toecaps that add an extra layer to the upper. I found the welt to be rather wide as well. For other things, the heel of the fit sits nicely in the shoe. The most important thing-the leather- also seems satisfactory. It is pretty thick but yet supple and uniform. My biggest complaint is the lining. It is very badly done and really detracts from all positive aspects which I mentioned. The shoes are pretty comfortable to my feet. The last is slightly wide which helps because I have wide feet. Here I have attached several photos. Please share your thoughts.
