Zegna vs Burberry vs Boss vs Others at Off 5th?

I recently bought Burberry London (Made in USA) and Boss suits at an Off 5th. The sale was buy one, get one 50% off and the total came to be $764 ($600 and $500 tag prices for the Burberry and Boss suits, respectively).
Fit: good. But I probably made myself believe it was 'good', since it was a 'good brand' at sale price. I've only ever worn Calvin Klein and H&M.
Price/value: ???

Now, as I browse SF with post-purchase anxiety, I'm starting to regret my purchase. Were the suits worth it? (probably not, right?) But, it is better than my previous purchase (and prompt return) of a Joseph Abboud suit for full retail.

I have read Zegna is of better quality/value/etc?
Any advice for other entry-level, decent quality/lasting suits?

Thanks

Do not worry about it. The brands asre fine for most people, on here included. Depends what you have access to too. For me, I would be VERY happy for that deal.

I think that's a pretty good deal. The Burberry is made by Hickey Freeman if I'm not mistaken.

Two kinds of Zegna suits can be found at off 5th. 98% are made in Mexico fuse jobs of Zegna's worst cloth and are waaaay overpriced at $500. Occasionally one can find a real Zegna suit that is made in Italy or Switzerland at Off 5th for a great deal.

Also, although only half canvassed, I like Burburry suits that are made in USA. I wouldn't pay full price but I think you got a decent deal.

They get Corneliani and Canali from time to time as well as the non-Z Zegnas. They tend to be the better suits they get.

Hi everyone.

I'm sorry to say to angelicboris that he has no clue.... the Ermenegildo Zegna are the only suits in the world named "luxury" because they are all hand made in plants of Spain, Switzerland and Italy where it employs more that 5000 specilist just for that... (Mexico's plant only does sportwear)
On the other hand, Zegna are the "doers" of the luxury brands (the real ones): Yves saint Laurent, Gucci, Versace and Tom Ford among others. As example: James Bond suits Zegna by Tom Ford.

I've had the incredible experience of visiting several plants (from A to Z of the production process for suits) and i can say to you that they have amazing quality standards!!! Nothing about employing in exchange of cheap money...

You buy whatever you think you need, but don't talk what you don't know. You should find the brand you think you feel comfortable in. If you have the money, I would say Ermenegildo Zegna is the best. A practical clue is that whenever you have a problem with the trousers or jacket they are pleased to repearing it without any cost because you paid for quality. They have really good after sales service, they take care...

Don't get too caught up with what the brand is or whether it is fused, canvassed, etc. As long as they fit, you are golden.

Some of my best-fitting suits are fused numbers from Banana Republic. Do they last forever? No, but they look fine.

It's all about fit. Fit, fit, fit. Repeat after me . . . .

Nope, you're flat out wrong. Z Zegna is made in mexico, as are a line of suits sold in outlet stores that use Zegna cloth with "Zegna Trofeo" labels to mislead unsuspecting consumers. Angel is spot on in his assessment.

I've seen the cloth by Zegna suits and the actual suit from one of their lines at the off 5th here. The cloth by's sell for about $500 before they run any specials. The one I saw the other day in my size was right around $1,000 (w/o any of their promotions). I think the compare to price listed was $1,800.

I've looked at the Zegna suits at the local Off Saks and they're all 'Ermenegildo Zegna' suits. I haven't seen any of the Z for Zegna cheaper suits like they have @ BlueFly.
