first off I would like to say I am a newbie in the world of fashion. but i had some interesting reads in all of ur opinions of quality. i had first started off with Hugo Boss because it was cheaper and it looked generally good. Yesterday, I turned 26 and decided to go to the Zegna store in Palo Alto, CA to treat myself. I was told they didnt have the couture collection as they werent considered a flagship store. So I was forced to go with Su Misura due to the fact that I am a 39R with a 36 waist. After 6 hours, I ordered 3 three piece suits and 2 sports coats. All in different fabrics with a grand total of $15,475. I was quite surprised they didnt do much measurements as they only used an OTR jacket and pants as a template. So I am a little worried. My question is do u think I made a good investment even though it wasnt the top of the line Napoli Couture??? Should I buy more MTM suits from them in the future? And in the world of suits wat is the next level of quality of suits I can buy in the Northern California area (i.e. brand, personal tailor, etc)??

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
