Do you mean Zegna?

If so, I think those shoes are manufactured by Ferragamo, in a JV with Zegna..

I presume you mean Zegna (those look quite good, by the way). I think that they're part of the cheaper line of Zegna shoes. Regardless, a quick google search tells me that they're made by Ferragamo.

I do sometimes wonder if the Couture - and esp. the Limited Edition - Zegna shoes are all Ferragamo, but I suppose they must be, given the ZeFer venture they have for all the other shoes. But they do seem a little different to even Tramezzas in terms of overall finish.

Quite to the contrary. Couture line is the highest from Zegna, and, from what I have seen, may even be up to Tramezza standards. Handsome shoes.

Those are the Limited Ediition Zegna shoes and made to even higher standards than the regular Couture line shoes. All Zegna shoes are made by the Zefer joint venture with SF. It's hard to know the exact nature of the relationship since they don't disclose these things but Zegna are a very hands-on type of company and don't just license or outsource so I suspect they are quite involved in the production.

I have shoes from Zegna mainline and Couture line and they are both very nice. Mainline EZ shoes retail for $500-$700 and Couture line retail for $800-$1,200. Limited edition shoes come in that leather box with shoe care accesssories and lasted trees and retail for $2,000+. Exotic skins go up to $5,000.

Ah, my mistake then - no wonder they looked so fabulous - sorry, I haven't had much exposure to Zegna shoes in general. I wish I had a pair of those though

Those don't look like Zefer. I was told some couture and the limited editions are done by an "artisan italian maker"

I saw those at a Zegna boutique in Ginza, they're gorgeous shoes. The quality of XXX is high. I have two pairs of Fatte a Mano XXX Oxfords, and they're really nice shoes.

Congratualtions on those. Nice pictures too!

I find it amusing how Bontoni and Zegna offer leather-wrapped boxes while JL and Kiton don't...
According to the floor guy (rare kind of fucktard, btw) from my local Zegna store they'd stopped making Couture line shoes due to whatever.
So I contacted NM for confirmation, and was informed that not only Couture shoes were alive and kicking - but that Neiman'd ordered a handful of styles for their Fall '08 stock.
So there you have it

BTW, the build/finishing on XXX line of shoes surpasses that of Tramezza.
It's their styling that didn't always float my boat

That box is leather wrapped?? Those are beautiful, by the way. Please let us know price and place.
