Hello Guys!
I found this suit on Ebay and I am wondering if anyone knows about the construction and quality? Should I expect the jacket to be canvassed? Full or half? Overall quality?

Those suits use Zegna fabric, but have no other connection to Zegna. In my experience they are either half canvas or fused, never full canvas.

Does that mean we should generally aim for "Made in Italy" label?

so what exactly are you looking for when you say "quality"?

This suit is perfectly serviceable for what it is...........it will not self-destruct while wearing it. What else are you concerned with/looking for in this particular suit?

From what I've seen at my local Saks Off 5th I frequent, they are similar no matter where made.

If you are interested in Zegna suits, it is important to remember that Zegna has their clothing lines, and they also sell fabric to other manufacturers. This is an old thread that highlights some of the different labels:

You are correct. The quality is decent. I meant more the jacket construction such as canvassed vs fused, which in turn affects the drape, longevity and how comfortable you will feel wearing it.

Keep in mind that fusing technologies have vastly improved and some brands tend to cut corners in their canvassing efforts.

It’s like many companies who do the bare minimum in order to apply the “Made in Italy” label
