Does anyone know what zegna calls their wool, silk and cashmere suit fabric? I tried on a nice suit that had zegna fabric, approx 75% wool, 20% silk and 5% cashmere and it was great. I'd like to get some of this fabric for future MTM but cant find anything like it on the zegna website , anyone know?

I'm pretty sure there is no specific name for that blend. You'll likely either need to ask the salesman or simply flip through the cards, paying close attention to fabric content.

Zegna was known principally as a clothmaker and silk merchant, then moved into the menswear business much the same way that Loro Piana has done. Diversify and multiply
the profits. If you want to find that luxurious fabric, call the Zegna store in New York City and ask to speak to the manager, who should be able to direct you to a source or two.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
