Stopped in my favorite local shop today and saw my first Zegna 12 mil suit. The feel of the fabric was exquisite. The finish is hard to describe. It appears dry, but has a sheen that almost appears alive when the light catches it. I would love to have one like it made up, but $17k for MTM is a bit steep for me. Still, gorgeous. Wish I had thought to take a couple pics, but I doubt the iPhone camera would do justice to the way the finish plays with the light.

Wow. Would love to see it, feel it. What kind of weave was it? Superfine plain - or some heavier weave of fine fibers?

Sort of a micro nailhead pattern. Looked like solid navy until you examine it up close Very fine threads, very Lightweight.

$17k for MTM? Holy moly!

I was at the Lanificio Zegna a few months ago and handled some really nice 14 mi mil fabrics, but 12... that's super 220's!
