Cool. Did you see their shirts? What did you think of them?

I will admit, I was impressed, but not impressed enough to spend $55. They had some interesting patterns there. I say stick with the shirts and outerwear at Zara, their pants just seem strange. They also had this zip up cardigan for $99 where the arms were a chunky wool material and the front of it was a faux seude/brushed cotton? material. Really nice for the cooler/cold weather. It's nice to see the men get the entire lower level (the store nearby at Bloomies has a really small mens section). They usually have a sale around the holidays, starting at around 30%, with the steeper discounts (and of course, fewer items) coming in January.

In my experience, Zara is cheaper in Europe. I purchased a couple of shirts earlier this year for 24.00 Euros each and a cotton sweater for about 35.00 Euros in Brussels. Quality is so-so, but the styling is decent and sleeve and body length are nice, as I'm a bit on the short side.

I just visited the new 5th Ave store, and also like some of their styles... but didn't have anything I didn't already have.  If I were still single, and wanted to impress a stylish Manhattanite woman, I might buy more from this store.  

Their shoes are of questionable quality, but in general, what do people think of the pointed-toe styles?  I wouldn't wear them in the office, that's for sure.   Some dudes can pull it off, but it just screams "fashionisto" (I made up this word) to me.

Actually, I did,a funny t-shirt that seemed made out
of plastic.

In any case, I think Zara is definitely above H&M but much more pricier in the US. I don't understand why Club Monaco is mentionned at all. I think of Zara clothes as "trendier" while Club Monaco stuff is mostly basics.

I like Zara. Good style. Good quality. Good price. Bad location (no stores close to me).
