Z Zegna Fabric/Material

I know most people here don't think much of Z Zegna, but I had a question about the fabric. I bought a Z Zegna from the Zegna store in Manhattan. The fabric feels amazing. It has some weight to it, very smooth to touch, and very slight sheen. I've gotten lots of compliments on it. I bought another Z Zegna from Bluefly (obviously much cheaper), but the fabric is nothing like the first suit. Feels thinner, dull, just looks and feels cheaper. Does Z Zegna use different fabric for different models? Or is it possible I bought a fake from Bluefly? Thanks!

Probably the former.

Large manufacturers like Zegna now have their hands in so many products that many are outsourced with little connection to the company.

The idea of 'brand' has become watered down, so expecting Zegna to behave any differently than, say, Armani is a fantasy.

As these other two posts whilst buying Zegna is simply buying the label not the garment to which it is attached, there are different ranges under their name and you must recognise that at all times.

I think he recognized that. He's talking about variance within the Z Zegna line.

I have a black (I know..) 100% cashmere Z Zegna blazer and love it to bits. Never seen another one like it again with Z Zegna. Their fabric is a either hit or miss for me.
