Your view on the classic Hermes Tie / Pocket square look

Working on Park ave, I hate this look. Every single 28 year old that makes VP goes out and buys a collection of ferragano and Hermès ties. They have no idea about any other brands, just generic crap imo.

Really like the geometric prints; the whimsical patterns less so. I still have a few of the scarf print ties from way back. Those are special.

Even better than the twills are the woven silk ties. They get less attention, but are excellent.

My association with these ties are corporate types in charcoal suits, looking bored at airports waiting for the last flight home. They come with a lot of baggage and associations for me. So maybe I can’t judge them on their own merits. Maybe they can work in a different look, but I’ve never seen a tie from Hermès which I’ve cared for.
