1. pho - but from only one place on earth that I've found, thus far. I make it a point to try looking for other good pho whenever I go places, and I've found okay pho and even satisfying pho, but never pho as good as the one I'm always thinking of. crushed chili sauce, lime, sprouts on the side, herbs chopped and already in the bowl with the onions, always piping hot. 2. sandwiches (of all sorts, I'll include hamburgers and other burgers in this category as well.) 3. pizza 4. tacos, I'll try them all 5. Soups (of all sorts, I tend to like and make them all. Better if spicy, and light, like a kimchijjigae with ripe kimchi.) Kind of copped out with the two big categories there.

I never get to eat #1, since it's 10,000 miles away, and #4 is hard to get here as well, so that leaves me with sandwiches (also rare here, except for burgers) and soups. Kimchi soup and pizza are the only things on that list that are easy for me to get. honorable mentions: -Australian tuck shop junk food - hand in pies, sausage rolls, chicken burgers, burgers with the works (beet and fried eggs) potato scallops, fish n chips - didn't have all the huge chains growing up in Australia in the '80's, but most corner shops could throw together some really addictive junk food so the chains weren't missed. -A good steak - I only eat these about once every couple/few months though, I grew up in a vegetarian house and so my cravings for meat seem to be far less intense than most. Mainly, I just crave stuff that I never got to have as a kid because my parents were health freak vegetarians. I have a pretty sensitive palate because of it actually (when you eat plates of pure vegetables with no fat or seasoning, that will happen), but all I ever want to do is eat junk food. My girlfriend calls me the B-grade gourmand.
