Do you think these two have been invited to the Royal wedding tomorrow?

What would be the point of wearing shorts that come to one's mid-calf? Could they even be called "shorts" at that point? I see this look quite frequently here in SoCal, it's even worse when combined with tube socks.

Thanks. Drakes has certainly become my "go-to" tie source. Their 8cm range is my preferred width and they always have a few nice things.

No way. This thread is totally conceptually different to WAYWRN. This thread is thematic and selective, not inclusive and sequential. Think of it as a seasonally-driven "favourites" folder. In many ways, it's much more useful than WAYWRN for someone interested in a quick "lookbook" of concepts.

VERY stylin'!
About the only thing I'd change is the dark socks with the yellow trousers. They want something brighter, or at least lighter. But I hope to borrow a lot from these looks.

Yes, this might be it.
They are too close in color, so the eye is confused when the items don't match.

But that shade of jeans looks like it's from a different decade.
I just can't place it.

Safe to say, SF readers are not their target audience.

Linen suit, suede loafs.

Feel free to take inspiration from the little one as well...

Pink cotton chinos, penny loafs, pink knit tie..

These are great, Marshall. Your little one is stylin already.

Yellow trousers...so dated. I saw Ralph Lauren, yes, the Ralph Lauren, with wife number one*, at the Pebble Beach Concours D'Elegance about ten years ago. One of his cars, probably a Bugatti, was in contention for Best in Show. Anyway, he was sporting a double-breasted blue blazer, button one, with a pair of canary yellow slacks, along with Belgian loafers. *wife number one is still his wife. http://www.pebblebeachconcours.net/

I have a 5PM wedding next weekend at a hotel with reception to follow and I have the usual suit suspects, i.e. navy, charcoal, tan but wanted to wear a navy blazer. Is this appropriate? If so, what color pants do you suggest? I have a light grey wool pant but a navy blazer with grey slacks seems old and tired to me.
