    The bill was racked up at Nello's. Order a sugar packet and a glass of water and you come out of there with a 1K bill. The patrons and owner can and will get on most of your nerves.

    Had a $5k bill at AOC once. Five people. It was the wine that got us. Always is.

    Nagahirashi (spelling) near Kyoto - most innovative dining experence, I have ever had.
    5 or 6 years ago and I think it was about $500 a person ( 4 of us).

    Last year my hockey team and I went out for a celebration of our final game. It's a small team, 17 people, and we were all university students. It was an afternoon celebration that carried into the night. The bill came to around 2000.

    This wasn't a fancy place or anything, in fact quite the opposite. But everyone had 15 or more beer, + 2 small meals.
