I had no expectations so now that I have a decent job, make below decent money, and have nothing more to my name than a collection of nice clothes that I can't afford, I feel so accomplished.

As I hoped, but with slightly more back pain than anticipated.

I've gotten everything I deserved plus more. No complaints at all.

To be honest, I had no real expectations.

I probably though I would be partying all the time, living in the city, and still really into punk rock.

In reality, I live in the burbs, but I did go to undergrad in Baltimore (county). I partied really hard in undergrad, but grad school and a fiancÃ
e completely took the wind out of that sail. I still go out and get drinks from time to time, but not how I expected it would be in my 20s. I definitely still listen to punk, but that has diverged into hardcore and early emo. Occasionally, I'll make it out to shows, but work and planning a marriage limit this to once every month or so.

I'd have liked to have gotten laid a little more.

As it turns out, I own a house on a street that I used to considered the epicenter of yuppie fucks that I resented. Now I look out my kitchen window and can see the jealousy on the face of others as they walk by and peer into my Norman Rockwell meets Cy Twoombley portrait of mid fucking century bullshit.

How do you feel about spending money on non-essential goods during the Covid-19 crisis?

  • I don't want to spend money at a time of economic uncertainty, even if I could afford it.

  • I feel compelled to spend to help small businesses that are struggling.

  • I reduced my budget for non-essential goods and I'm not spending at the moment.

  • Not much has changed for me and I'm still buying stuff I can't afford.
