Hi guys!

Need your input for this suit. How would you say the fitting is?

It looks really good for RTW. The slight wrinkling on your right side may be due to a low right shoulder but it’s minor. A tailor could put in a thin shoulder pad on the right but it’s no big deal.

Too tight under your seat. You should have a clean straight drape all the way down for an optimal fit.

Width across shoulders should be less. Waist is good. Length is good. Sleeves good. Seat needs to be smoothed out.

Thanks for input! As I am quite new into this, can you maybe describe more what you mean with " a clean straight drape" and how you can see that it is too tight under the seat?

Look at the horizontal wrinkles under your seat. That indicates the pants are too tight. This is the goal to which you should aspire as far as how pants drape, or hang. Straight lines from top to bottom, with no wrinkling caused by poor fit.

While this is certainly the ideal, this wouldn't necessary keep me from going with the suit the OP posted.

Do you honestly think that a pair of RTW trousers should realistically fit as well as a pair of bespoke trousers (as shown in your photo), and would you tell the OP not to purchase an RTW suit unless the trousers fit as well as the ones you show?

For myself, I would not wear pants with those wrinkles under the seat. Much of my clothing is RTW, and none of my pants have those type of wrinkles. It is a largely a matter of finding a cut that suits your physique. I have several pair of BB Regent cut that hang about as nicely as those in the photo with no wrinkles under the seat.
