1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Gah...too many to definitively rank. In no particular order...

    Dog Day Afternoon
Pulp Fiction (I read lots of Elmore Leonard stuff when I was younger so I liked "Get Shorty" and "Jackie Brown" too)
    Glengarry Glen Ross
Empire of the Sun (very young Bale, who was superb)
    The new Bourne trilogy
Thomas Crowne Affair (w/ Pierce Brosnan & the very edible Rene Russo)
    A Fish Called Wanda
    Trading Places
    Caddyshack
The whole series of Jack Ryan movies from Red October on. Nobody gets it closer to real than Clancy.

Props to those who mentioned Heat, and The Professional (man did Oldman do an amazing job with that movie). They're both way up there on my lists too.

Lesser known, Walken was interesting in "King of New York" which was star-studded and super gritty despite not a lot of people hearing about it.

For comedies, I actually really liked "Mystery Men" too. Sue me.

More recently, "Inception" had to be the most incredible motion picture I've ever seen. Best movie, all-in? No, because it had Di Caprio who is the same character in every single movie he does...but it absolutely erased the line between real and unreal, possible and impossible, in terms of what you can do in a motion picture. Stellar in every regard but the lead character. And I kinda hated the ending.
