1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Multiple Choice poll. You could have voted for all of them.

I'm surprised no one has voted for Delos yet. He has his own shoe porn thread...

Seems like C&J is the alpha dog as far as British shoes go. I was going to try some English shoes on my next purchase but I only want to spend about GBP 180 or <300 USD. I never see C&J in my size at that price point when I check ebay or B&S.

John Lobb. They fit me perfectly, look great, and provide all day comfort. I used to reserve them for wear on special occasions only until recently when I realized that they look and feel far better than any other shoes I own.

+1. And I thank SF for having introduced me to the brand.

Voted Alden and Tricker's, mostly because they have shoes that cater to my annoyingly wide feet.

Um, someone lied to you. C&J is not the alfa dog.

I was referring to its popularity amongst SF users.

This shakes out just as I expected it would. The only mild surprise is Alden's performance. I would have expected them to rank lower, but maybe I'm just projecting my own bias.

I voted Allen Edmonds. They have always fit great with minimal break-in time and have held up fine for me. I used to always get Cole Haans but learned the folly of my ways a year or so ago and haven't looked back since.

I've got a couple pair of Alden's and they seem nice enough but I don't think I would ever pay the full retail price for them.

I tipped it in favour of C&J [IMG]

I'm hoping I can add DS Lewis to my go-to at some point this year [IMG]
