Hello everyone,

I am striving and working hard to improve my sense of style and fashion and from what I could see around the web, you guys seem the best.

I would love to get your opinion on a few outfits -below-.

Please don't spare any critic, no matter how harsh they might seem :)

1. SPORTY/CLASSY JACKET

2. LONG CLASSY JACKET
Main doubt: is it feasible at all with sneakers ?

3. TIE-JEANS
Too much of a mix between classy and sporty?

4. SCARF+VEST+JEANS
Same as 3 but scarf and boots

5. TIGHT VEST
Too tight?

6- CRAVATTA LARGA

7- SLIM TIE + JEANS + BOOTS

8- SPORTY JACKET WITH HOODIE
Again I'm never sure about these "glossy trainers"

9- SIMPLE BLUE

10 - SIMPLE WITH JACKET
Too large a jacket?

11 - COOL SHIRT
Sorry for the "cool", just love that shirt too much :D

12 - FORMAL WITH SUEDE BOOTS
Is the pullover too informal with that insigna?

12 B - higher V-neck pullover

13 - LIGHT BLUE
Too light/juvenile?

14- SHORT JACKET

15 - WHITE SHIRT HIGH COLLAR
three different jackets, trainers and boots

16 - VEST AND SHIRT

17 - SIMPLE

18 - SIMPLE CLASSY
Too high rise jeans?

19 - HIGH CONTRAST TIE

20 - LEATHER BELT

On a very quick note, what would you think overall?

I won't offer an opinion on the stuff you are showing as the younger guys here can give a better critique of, and suggestions for, SW&D including footwear. I will suggest though that a tie as part of any very casual outfit makes you look like you are trying too hard or you just got off work at the Verizon booth.

I will second the suggestion to post a few of the pics you think stand out on the "what are you wearing thread" as that draws a lot of views and comments. The sheer volume of pics you posted in this thread is daunting to comment on.

pants could be better fitting especially the suit pants

no need for a tie unless wearing a suit imo

never would wear a vest imo

the sneakers you own are really ugly imo

black on black w/ purple tie looks like high school prom

i dont think you have a HORRIBLE sense of style but you need to go shopping

cheers

On #2, never wear sneaker or tennis shoes with a long coat. It just doesn't look right. Stick to nice boots or dress shoes.

Yes, I agree.

You mean, particularly in the sense of "tighter" ?
Got quite a few compliments on those black sneakers (though in some cases it might also be they just caught attention and people couldn't do anything else than say smth nice at that point :) ). What would be a good looking sneaker in your opinion?

Would you say the same if it's a long coat but not as classy as that one, but a bit more sporty (like the long blue one I have in some other pics).

I think you are being a wee bit harsh - I thought it was quite a good look, the only improvement I could think was to take the photos at a different angle to make yourself look slightly taller, not that there is anything wrong with being shrt of course.
