So I ordered something from yoox this week. Got the item and was pleased. A completely normal transaction like several I've had with them in the past.

I logged into my credit card today and didn't understand a cash advance charge so i called customer service. Well apparently yoox charged my transaction as a cash transaction (news to me!). So I had a 5% cash fee plus the daily accrued interest. I had to talk to 3 people at my cc company before the fees were waived.

WTF yoox? Has anyone else had this happen? I emailed yoox but don't expect to hear back until Monday.

Yoox is very strange, when it comes to payments . The first time I made on order, over £500, they suspended my order until I sent them some information because they felt that £500+ was a lot for a first time order. I missed out on a sports jacket, although they did redeem themself when a pair of trousers did not fit from the order.

Not that anyone was dying to know...but I've spoken with both Yoox and Citi and apparently there was some strange aberration where Citi Card AA purchases were being charged as Cash Transactions on Yoox. They are trying to pin down the problem (whether it was a merchant or CC end problem).

Yoox's customer service was great (and Citi's for that matter). Fear not, yoox away.
