Yoox blazer previously tailored?

I just brought in a blazer I bought off yoox 4 weeks ago to be tailored because the center vent was flaring too much. My tailor thought that it had been tailored by somebody before from a 2 vent to a single vent. His reasoning seemed to be because there was a loose thread on each side of the skirt where the double vents might have been. Is this possible? The skirt also seems to fall a bit funny. I'm thinking this is more due to poor packaging from yoox leading to wrinkles that I have been unable to steam out.

Here's the link for the blazer

Also if anybody has any suggestions to how to solve the vent flaring problem that would be great. I'll try to post pics later but I'm a skinny guy 5' 7" and 140lbs so I don't think it's a size problem. My tailor suggested simply sewing it back up. but I'd like to keep a vent if possible.

You're a cool guy. Are you asian?

Isn't everyone who can afford to shop at South Coast asian? The point of mentioning it wasn't to be cool. (If anything its ghetto cause EA's the "cheaper" Armani brand.) The point was, I shop there way too much that I know every piece from their runway show (which I attend) and their collection. I've never seen half of these so called EA pieces.

Feel better champ?

unfortunately my camera seems to be missing, if I find it i'll try to post pics. But yeah my tailor gave me a pretty big scare despite yoox stating that they were all single vented. Anybody know why the vent might split though? There's maybe some tightness around the chest...

No offense, but I think you need to find a different tailor. While you can close up an existing vent, it's very difficult to add one because there's usually not enough material in the seams to make one.

Actually, I don't. Is there any possible way, in some crazy scheme to make money and strategize in different markets, that EA makes pieces available in some markets and not others (US, Asia, Eu, etc.)? I'm just surprised that you're surprised, and that you're suggesting that if you haven't seen it, then it is "so called" EA.

Pretty common with other makers. Cuts vary. I'm sure colours and cloth choices do to. Sizes.

Considering I received invitations to both Milan's and NYC's fall/winter & spring/summer shows, yes. I'm surprised to see pieces I haven't seen. I've had lunch with their VP in NYC after the show in NYC , have seen the FEW different pieces that each region receives as we went through them piece by piece.

So yes. It's still surprising. How's it feel to fail at trying to sound e-smart while trolling on the forums champ?
