I watched this movie for the first time in a while today. The suit Kobayashi (for those of you who are familiar with the film) wears here looked awesome. Does anyone know if it is Yohji? Looked alot like it too me. Begins at 1:10 in the video.

Thanks guys. The jacket is really cool. Drapes well on the body since the fabric is so light and the pattern is really nice. The black base makes it really work well with black pants I think. Althought now that I have it in my hands I think it will not see as much use as the silk tapered hakamas I got. Just seems like it should only come out for special occasions heh. I will probably lose any respect for it after like 2 outings with it I am sure :D

Yup :nodding:. with 100% cupro lining.

+1 for looking awesome there Ivwri

on another note, i need help finding a new pair of boots to go with my yohji gear, since I pretty much only ever wear boots.

I'm still tempted to get a pair of the red wing loggers that Yohji seems to have glued to his feet, but I was actually thinking about other stuff too, I had a look at Ann D's offering from last fall and this spring, didn't really find anything that blew me away.... then i stumbled onto these Rick Owens http://www.forwardforward.com/fw/DisplayProduct.jsp?code=RICK-MZ19&d=Mens, they look very different zipped up and that's how i'd wear them as I think they look better than Damir Doma's offerings too...

    maybe these KVAs... http://www.forwardforward.com/fw/DisplayProduct.jsp?code=KVAN-MZ30&d=Mens

    HELP!

The red wing loggers that Yohji wears are superb. I just love to mix otherwise elegant clothes with a pair of chunky work boots to shake things up.

But I must warn you, they are really heavy. My pair weighs altogether 3 kilograms in size 45. They're very sturdy and will last a lifetime.

thanks mate, maybe i should put them back to the top of the list, I've got the iron rangers and beckmanns so am prepared to be lead footed. Was just hoping for something a little different.

Also i noticed the loggers have one helluva heel. lol

I bought chelsea Tao boots from DSM sample sale preview last week, and been wearing them since then with my yohji clothes.

Also having trouble looking for some boots. Liking some of the pairs suggested here so far. Sweet boots dante. Really thinking about those Yuketen ones as well.

I initially hated the way these looked, but now they have kind of grown on me. Am I crazy for thinking they could work?

Any idea where can I have a look at and/or pick up Red wings online?

regards the guidi, i don't think they are high enough to work well. i will try them next time i go to ln-cc. btw i tried the jacket you bought, it's really beautiful. if you can find and afford pants with same pattern you should get them.
