1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

:) thanks man. I really like that suit. for me, it's got the right blend of 'classic' elements and yohji design. plus, I love cotton suits (sorry, shah) and navy. no need to take the link down, but i will def.throw a bid in the ring. i'm 5'8" , 150lb. and the specs are about the same as most of my other jackets.. which are moderately loose. so it' won't be oversize, but it will be slightly roomy. the pants on the other hand! :) 36 inch waist, whoa. i'll need the rope tie for this. will def. post pics if i'm successful :).

fwiw, i recently bought a few coming soon pants from yoox: cotton twill with safari pockets and a dressier pair of linen-wool which have buttons for braces and patch back pockets, and some striped pajama style pants with string closures at waist and ankle. the cut and drape is nice on all of these, esp. the dressier pair. the construction is not up to mainline quality, but i was still pretty impressed for the price. i got a size 46 (euro size) and the waist is about a 34-35", so yeah, i can see that sizing is more about the length than width.

    carry on, yohji-ites.

I'm suspicious of that really conspicuous stain on the sleeve that "should be easy to get rid of." If it's easy to get rid of, why is it there?

On a non-Yohji tangent, I found these KVA oversized trousers that are really sharp for someone (like me) who is having trouble committing to the full-on parachute pants look. :embar: I just returned a size 50 for a 48, so the 50 should be back available soon as well. Anyway, I think they might look good with a Yohji jacket.

That's good to hear about Coming Soon quality firsthand. If you win that bid, definitely post a fit pic on here. Really like that suit as well, good luck!

Finally found some cool images with Spring 2012 pieces via.

Always liked this shirt, now I am completely sold. Definitely copping :nodding:

Still making up my mind about picking up one of the longer cubist coats. Might wait until I can handle them in person...

Some more promotional and campaign images from various Yohji collections. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to sort out seasons and credits yet. One of these days will settle down to attempt to catalogue the images I have on my HDD (don't hold your breath though!).

I won the auction (barely) for the linen/silk pants Ivwri posted. There were a bunch of bidders and I wonder how many were from this thread. Please let me know if anyone sees the jacket in a 2 or 3 so I can complete the metamorphoses.

caveat, damn you've just started and are already halfway to completing one of the great suits. I like look 1 even more but that one is easily top 3 or whatever of ss09 stuff. I'm fucking jealous, I've been trying to hunt down one of those for quite some time now. :slayer:

On another note, I just got a 4 button wool AW00 jacket and it's blowing me away, all I wear now. I've wanted one of his 4 button jackets for a while and this is perfect, the fabrics he used for this collection are some of the best I've seen from him. Piping along the jacket front/lapels and pockets is made from gold plated copper wire. Need to hunt down more stuff.

I'm sure we can sort out the other ones (except y-3 and the perfume one possibly) when it comes to seasons and stuff eventually, though it might take some time, but this last one I assume is from the houndstooth collection of AW03. Might as well post it here, HQ style:

LOL I'm glad you didn't. My max bid was $276 and they pushed it up to $269, so one more bump would have sniped it from me. I'm glad you guys approve of the purchase.

I've been scoping that lilac sweater for the last week. Somebody buy it so I don't.

Heh, same here. Really like the small details on the sweater. I am trying to stop myself from buying knits cos I hardly ever have any serious occasion to wear them. Sigh.

If anyone finds the first pants in shah's post above in a size 4 let me know. Almost got a pair once, but got unlucky.

And here's your factoid of the day, the boorish French rapper in question is this fellow below (I believe those are your scans from SZ, Asobu), he actually went on to be hugely famous (in France) as one half of the hip hop group Suprême NTM, one of the two major French hip hop groups of the 90s (an easily the most virulent one of the two). I don't really understand how he came about to be in a YY show to begin with but the behavior seems par for the course, the name of the group was NTM after all (if you don't know what NTM stands for, look it up).
