Just found this photo from Monsieur Jerome website. This is what I wore to the Yohji S/S2013 presentation. Actually almost the same that I wore in my first fit pic I posted here.

Wool felt hat, wool gabardine “Yohji jacket”, wool gabardine waistcoat, white cotton button-up shirt (with collar and cuffs detached), leather belt, wool gabardine hakama, wool gabardine bag, all by Yohji Yamamoto. The boots are from the beginning of the 20th century.

This is so amzingly cool. I am literally sitting here in awe.

Great look, valter. I like how you've worn the hakama pants -- a little more formally with the waistcoat and the vintage dress boots/socks. I'm so used to seeing them with an untucked shirt and bare ankle sneakers. Very nice.

That's a very cool look, absolutely nailed it. I think you and Wire are the only two that do the ' hat ' thing so well, something I feel I'll never be comfortable with. It turns up the Yohji-ness at least a couple of notches.

    Need to post more :)

I love hats. I have currently 2 YYPH hats & 1 Y's for men hat. And also the Mayser hat that Yohji sometimes wears, that I mostly wear in bad weather.

And I'm planning to buy that A/W2012 hat that pickpackpockpuck just posted, but in black of course!

I agree that hats definitely turn up the Yohji-ness as davidlee said.

Great stuff valter and david. I agree that you and wire really pull off hats. I am probably going to pick up that hat p^4 posted if it comes in black (pretty sure it will). Need it pretty large though as I am probably not going to be cutting my hair for a while, hehe.

Funny enough I am also wearing those same hakama pants today, but with the off-white coat I picked up off asobu. Will probably post a night time shot in a bit.

dante, thanks for those vids! I think asobu posted some a while back, but either I didn't look through everything he posted or I had forgotten, but hadn't seen the stuff you just did (hmm, does that make sense..?). Will add to the OP once I get home.

Also, a second "yes, please" for you esox so do post :). If you still need a PM on posting images, just ask.

shah, it was me. so two items were left. too bad I didn't see them. all the sale stuff was squeezed onto two racks and didn't seem particularly organized, plus it's predominantly black clothing in there anyway so it wasn't easy to pick out a particular designer without some close inspection. that wool gabardine coat looks beautiful.

i recently tried a pair of wool gab pants, think they were called the n-tuck pants or something along those lines. i tried size 2 since I'm a 30 waist and about 5'9" and was surprised to find they were tight in the waist. they were also a bit long. my experience trying on yohji pieces hasn't been great. I don't feel confident I could just buy size 2 everything and have it work. unfortunately that means I probably won't be buying auction items. :(

pickpackpockpuck that's strange, yohji's pants seem to run big in the waist nowadays and on forward those pants are listed with a 35 waist.

Edit: my mistake seem to be another model, n-center pressed pants, still strange though I think.

Those Holon images look amazing dante. How long is the exhibition running for again? Also, that first shot from SS12 is just perfect. That's the background image for the Yohji website isn't it? Would be really awesome if a few websites started doing landscape images of the shows. Or that a runway show could have that much space with no audience around, just the model and the clothing. Looks so serene (I think that image has the background extended via photoshop?)

Looks like valter has become a Yohji streetstyle celebrity :D.
