...hairstyle thread

I've always had my hair out in a moptop ala The Beatles or in a mess (Get mistaken for a junkie all the time) and maybe it's time for a change. It's summer, i'm in uni and thus have no restrictions and don't mind tryin something unique if it looks good and a normal hairstylist won't butcher it. Can't afford to pay 60 quid for a haircut that requires 10 different products and hours to maintain

Any suggestions?

Cheers.

P.s. - I've included a scary pic of me, with a beautiful hairstyle.

go 90% shorter on the sides, 50% shorter on top. keep it messy.

frankly i'd keep it how it is. if you can somehow thin it out while retaining the volume, that would be great. this sounds like an oxymoron; i'm just wondering if there is some way to make it less thick while preventing it from going too floppy/flat.

just ask the stylist to thin your hair with a thinning razor (looks like a sharp metal comb)

Thanks for the reply guys. Believe it or not my hair in the pic was already thinned cause there was wayyyy more volume. I have slightly curly hair and with thinning it got real curly on the sides.

Do you guys think i should go longer and grow it out or go shorter with my face shape?

Any pics of hairstyles that i could try?
