By approved, do you mean before purchase, or when worn?

I assume most guys here don't require permission before going on B&S Raids.

OK -- some of the posts seemed to imply otherwise. I really don't know, since she doesn't comment on it much. I imagine she would say something if it was really disturbing.

Men that listen to women end up buying black suits and KC square toes...

Well I am no longer married but not only for this reason. My ex-wife and I alwasy had diffrent taste, and she constantly butted heads with me over my peronal style but no matter how hard she pused my closet was never filled with any of her influences.

I'm whipped, and trust her advice, so, almost always approved. Though I've been known to "educate" her tastes a bit.

Wait, which wife are your referring too?

Wife, girlfriend, what's the difference these days?
My gf approves of only 10% of my clothes, citing the other 90% as unnecessary.
She is convinced I am obsessed and love my clothes more than her.
I always flatly deny this and give her a quick hug & kiss before returning to polish my shoes.

What a great thread...

EVERY DAY I see women in my men's wear store running over their husbands/boyfriends.
You would be surprised at how many women pick out every piece of a mans wardrobe...

It gets interesting when they're both strong willed, and the yelling match commences... Great fun for my sales staff!

We have different tastes.

I love my suits and even when I wear jeans I will have the odd jacket on.

She is a lot more casual than me. She is smart at work and very casual outside business hours.

She loves my wardrobe but is blissfully unaware of the price tags in it.

The important is to respect each other's style and we do that quite well.

We have similar taste in suits, pants, and shirts, but we're really different in shoes and ties. She's trying to learn the kinds of ties I like, but every time we go to the store together she picks out stuff I really hate. I don't think we'll ever see eye to eye on shoes, though.

I typically like the stuff she wears. She's not really big into dressing up or anything, though.

As long as she likes dressing up in the bedroom, the rest is frivolity.
