The dilemma is real haha

I'll inquire Jackson whether they are willing to do last adjustments for a fee.

If the they can adjust the last at the toe to have a little more sloping like the Fukuda last, I’d be inclined to go with YSQ. If not, I’m gonna likely switch to YRB.

Update: Jackson is checking with his factory whether:

* The YSQ last can have a sharper drop at the toe tip
* SG65 can not have the heightened toebox

The last may need to be adjusted specifically for the order. This means the last will be disposed following the completion of the order.

Summary: Possible if we made the adjustment for either YSQ or SG65. 2-3 of us have to get in on the last adjustment for this to be a free adjustment.

Personally I prefer having the adjustment on the YSQ as it resembles YF more, but I am open to either option. Jackson agrees that the modified YSQ last would be closer to YF.

------------------

Long answer:

1) YSQ: It is possible to create a new last that resembles the YF photo as per attached. The idea here is to use the YSQ as base in terms of fitting and modify the toe shape to have more pronounced chiseled sides and a sharper front drop. In this way we can keep the option to just selection of toe shape rather than middling with the fitting.

2) SG65: It is also possible to have the SG65 done without the heighten toe box, much like YC3. In terms of resemblance to the photo you have sent, the modified YSQ (yet to determine the last name) will be much closer.

Both these options unfortunately will incur a small cost as new lasts will be made to change the overall shape and looks while keeping the fitting to the lasts familiar to most. Depending on the number of participants deciding to take up either one of the options, Jackson may be able to absorb the this cost if there are 2 or 3 people.

I am IN for this :) And my order is placed on YSQ last and I can inform them I need the modified YSQ similar to YF. @bsarosi - might be interested too.

Yes, I'm in for the modified YSQ. Jackson did email me about it and that would be my preference versus the lowered SG65. I plan to reply that I would like the modified YSQ last. so that would make 3 of us.

Has anyone heard an update on timing for the pie crust GMTO? We've gotta be getting close, right?

I’ll let Jackson know of each user that opted for the modified YSQ last. But to be on the safe side, I’d recommend you to either send Jackson a message or to email Yeossal CS to let them know that you’d like the adjustment, then there would be no guesswork as to which user placed which order.

Awesome. Just sent an email to customer service requesting the modified YSQ. Very looking forward to it and thanks for the effort for making this happen.

I've not. Inquired with Jackson, and awaiting word back on an updated time frame. He told me there were some delays due to leather availability, though I'm not aware of which ones were impacted.
Depends on when you ordered. I was told 4 to 6 weeks a few days ago. But I also ordered mine right before the promotion ended,
This would seem about right. I ordered my pairs literally minutes before the promotion expired, so I imagine I'm (rightly so) at the very back of the queue. To be honest, I'm fine with any "delays" from the initial mid-August estimation. More than happy to push the cost the cost to my CC's next billing cycle. Too many "fun" purchases this month already :rotflmao:

The picture I attached. It's a chiselled last that will slope down at the tip.

I ordered the Thomson just a few days before the CGMTO started and the ETA was about 3 weeks ago. Still no news on the order. We'll see what happens.
