Does anyone have any experiences with the YC3 last? I'm thinking of doing an MTO for the Orchard model but I'm not a huge fan of the SG65 last.

I recently put an order in for the Duke model in a YSQ last but after seeing the post above, I immediately emailed them to change it to the YRB instead. I honestly thought it'd be a much softer square...

Any insight would be much appreciated!

Supposedly the YC3 last is a reworking/new version of the YC8 that the Scotts were on, so a bit more room than the SG65 in the toebox. I'll be hopefully receiving chelsea boots in the YSQ last soon and then the split toe order in YC3 later on.

The Jodhpur GMTO is now live!

Edit: there appears to be a website error with shipping. I have contacted Yeossal to rectify this.

Sorry, tried to catch up on the thread but what will the base design ultimately look like?

The design will look like this:

With the leather pull tab lowered like this, so it won't be caught in trousers:

Handwelted, very tight waist, leather / last / heel / sole material / sole shape (waist) / sole edge / width are customizable, free 3-piece lasted shoe trees, and free shipping. To my knowledge, this will be a unique design not sold by any other shoemaker. If you order after July, you'll have to pay for MTO fees, shipping, and for the shoe trees, which I'm guesstimating to be around $300 CAD ish.

34 available leathers, 7 lasts:

Honestly the YC3 looks a lot shorter than the YC8, I was sad to see it wasn't available anymore. I think it would've looked great on the double monks. I'm stuck trying to choose between the YC3 and YRB for them, may just have to flip a coin and let fate decide.

YRB really reminds me of the John Lobb 7000 last. I don't know what's similar to the YC3. They're all gorgeous lasts, so you can't go wrong :)

I believe they're still working on re-doing the YC8 last for the future.

Saweet! :slayer:

Now to decide on last and leather. Thinking YC3 or YSQ and maybe a museum calf (Chelmer, Dk Brown, Plum). Other option would be a patina in either misty brown or dark wine....decisions, decisions.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I honestly might just pull the trigger and go with that for the monks. Who knows when they'll finish reworking the YC8.

Also, any news on the buckles? I'm interested to see if I can get brass or gold buckles instead of silver.

I do not have an update, but Jackson advised me that he is looking into it.

In other news, shipping is costing money on the Yeossal website at the moment. I raised the issue to them via IG but have not heard back. I guess wait until they fix their website then place your order.

I thought I remembered reading that due to limitations with the platform, they credited shipping on the 2nd payment

How responsive are they on IG? I've been emailing them and at most I'll get one response a day. I'll even respond right away but I usually wont hear back for another 24+ hours.
