Rob is just being humble (awesomely so): there's no think about it, YH IS definitely some special ish.

@ASNY2VA post some pics if/when you are able. Would love to see that bad boy out in the real world. Excellent pickup on your part.

Well I just placed my first ever Yellow Hook order and purchased the Blue Magic Crepe Plaid. I'm super excited to wear this with the tan tropical wool suit I picked up yesterday. Spring is going to be great this year.

That looks great. I was kind of sad that the banker stripe went out of stock so fast.

    Excellent tie.

On a side, I got the navy jacquard. It's almost startling how lightweight it is...awesome, awesome stuff.

Keep in mind that each tie that sells out is a sign that Rob is making beautiful stuff - good news all round.

First purchase from YHNT and the hand written note from Rob was a great touch. I love the tie and probably will be back for more.

Some more details on the Red Denim Work Shirt. We're going to go with a few washes and a dry on this as after that this beauty softens up just wonderfully, yet it still retains the tough denim characteristics. We probably have enough denim (the last of the roll, and it's no longer available) for about 20 shirts. Once we get the last sample back with some final tweaks (different buttons, yellow stitching, and about an inch shorter) and confirm that its right, we'll get measurements up and get the pre-order on this happening as I want everyone who wants this to be able to grab one without fear of their size being out.

The following picture from instagram shows the versatility of the shirt. I think an inch shorter can still easily be tucked in, and look a bit better worn out.

For sizing purposes, this will be a Medium. I'm 5'9" and 170 lbs.

The placket front will have this detail beneath the 5th button which I really like, giving the shirt a cool vintage feel to it.

All of our shirts will feature a yellow side gusset, we've used bits of Loro Piana Cashmere and Cashmere Silk for the production runs.

These shirts also feature another cool vintage detail. Much like shirts from the late 19th century, we've made these with a two piece sleeve. This detail as well as creating a certain aesthetic also gives slightly more room in the arm without making it bulky.

Here is the pocket set up for this model. One standard button flap and one extra large pocket to fit even the largest of smart phones...

    with a separate pencil pocket.

Once we get the samples back this week, expect some final shots of what the shirt should look like and we'll get a pre-order up ASAP. I'll leave the pre-order open for two weeks once the details are finalized and the any remaining units will be made in stock sizes for sale online.

I'm really excited about this little pet project of mine and hope you guys love it as much as I do.

Yesterday in our Heirloom Buttondown and Denim Double Stripe Tie. The Heirloom is designed to be the perfect throwback, an ultra soft unlined collar where we use the fabric do do its job and stand up to create the perfect roll. This is what Brooks used to do back in the day, except we updated it with a more modern fit, far from slim fit, but not your dad's baggy button down. The tweaking on design and pattern is just about done, so these are ready to roll into production soon. They feature a back locker loop over a center box pleat with a rounded pocket at the chest. They have a one button rounded cuff with no gauntlet button to make it easy to roll up your sleeves as you might with a more casual buttondown collar shirt. Design also features a dartless back for a real masculine look with our signature yellow gusset on each side.

And last night was date night in our two pocket denim shirt.

These are in need of one last tweal before we're ready to go! Getting closer....

Received my Blue Magic Crepe Plaid tie today and I'm very impressed. It's super lightweight but still ties an excellent knot. I've never had an unlined 6 fold tie before but this won't be my last. It's going to be 80 degrees down here the next few days so it may well make it into the wardrobe sooner rather than later.

The biggest question I have now is whether to get the St. Pat's linen:

    or the salmon raw silk:

    2 things:

    1. Unless I'm mistaken, I believe all YH ties are lined, though whatever lining they use makes them feel virtually unlined. I have a few unlined 6/7 fold ties, and I'd say without hesitation I strongly prefer YH.

    2. Unless you snagged the St. Pat's, that baby is gone...though you might be well served shooting Rob a PM, as he is usually able to wrangle up some additional fabric to get the job done!

Edit: let's see some pics of that sucker when you wear it out!

I was actually the one that snagged the St. Pat's linen. [IMG]

Think you made the better choice for warmer weather. That Salmon Raw Silk is an Easter tie, that would be great for the Easter/Passover Holiday when the Sartorial and Conventional Calendar says its Spring (bright colors, patterns) but the thermometer is fighting real hard to hold onto Old Man Winter!

And yes, @ericgereghty is correct, our ties are lined, but with an incredible lining you'd never know was there that we worked really hard to find. I was a firm unlined tie believer until we found these linings which I'll never deviate from they breathe so well.

+1 on the lining. Whatever it is, don't change it! I have quite a few (high quality, at least in terms of price lol) unlined ones that become a bit scrunchy/wrinkled at stress points, even in heavy-ish wool fabrics. The ONLY YH ties I have that even remotely exhibit similar characteristics are my linen pieces...and nothing short of divine intervention could prevent a linen tie from wrinkling.

In other words, YH has its ish on point, and I don't want any changes!

Shirts and the entire spring line of ties look great.

I was trying on a new suit today with a red cashmere from a few seasons ago (I think).
