I have a high instep and skinnier heel. For j fitzpatrick shoes a uk7 suede monkstrap is quite roomy, and uk6.5 wholecut derby is ok. For Carmina uk7 alcudia is slightly tight on the top and forefront of my foot. And AE park ave US8 fits well.

I am leaning towards UK 6.5 on the 915 last, or should I go with 7? What about the other lasts? Thanks

@rando There is a measurement table (1) and a blog post about sizing help with Yanko (2). This should help get you started on determining the approximate size. FWIW I am in between 8 and 8.5 according to these tables and I think I'll prefer the 8, but time will tell.

@Betelgeuse Seems like 9.5 should be good for you if you prefer a roomier shoe. According to the people at Patine, people with a length of 285 mm usually go with size 9, however (3).

Can somebody comment on the fit of Yanko chelsea boots? I'm looking at the 766 model offered on Patine, on the 915 last. Can somebody talk about how the boot fits, and if they have multiple shoes in the 915 then how does the fit of the shoes differ?

Also, advantages / disadvantages of York vs Dainite soles?

Just in a new pair from the friendly folks @patinePL:

Last 915 is such a great fitting last.

Also ordered these wonderful Balmoral boots but again the shaft is much too wide for my feet, even though these were in F width. Really a shame since the makeup of these boots is just wonderful and the leather and suede were very nice and soft.
Hopefully one day Yanko will make boots with a regular sized shaft.

Also another picture of my navy shell cordovan Yanko shoes after breaking them in.

For the boot shaft comment. I've seen several guys in the boot thread use tongue pads to take up a little space. I had the same concern about my balmorals with the shaft and after wearing them a few times, they aren't too loose at all. They do fully close like your photo. The leather will gather a little as it molds and they're fine. But if your expectation is to have a gap between the upper laces so it hugs your calf/shin, well they won't.

I own multiple (balmoral) boots from different makers and none fit as wide as Yanko boots do. It's not only that they fully close, but they even leave enough room for a thumb to fit between the shaft and my leg.

FWIW, I ordered my regular size in Allen Edmond's and Brannock (12D) - size 45 in last 915. Was this a good decision? Also the zip code field is slightly wonky for US shipping addresses, had to give Skolyx a followup email.

I bought a pair of brown suede (testa de moro) balmorals. I got a shipping notice on the 30th, but never received any tracking so don't know how long they'll take...:

"Zamówienie złożone w sklepie zmieniło swój status. Aktualny status Twojego zamówienia: Delivered, package is ready. We are waiting for the carrier.

You will receive information with number of the package from the carrier you choose on the e-mail adress U've put in Your order.

UPS- courier takes packages about 15:00
INPOST- courier takes packages about 14:00
POCZTA POLSKA- courier takes packages about 16:00"

Edit: these are the ones I bought:
