To add some more details (and at the risk of beating a dead horse), the moleskin shirt in my TTS M fit similar to TTS slim fit/slimmer fitting Uniqlo and Corridor shirts I own. I liked one size up (L) better, which fit similar in the chest and shoulders to the tencel gabardine I have in the same size (L). However, the overall length and arm lengths were so long for my 5’9” frame that I needed to tuck in and roll up the sleeves. That worked for how I wanted to wear the tencel one but not how I wanted to wear the moleskin. So I think you can go either way, just depends—like most things—on body type and how you’ll be wearing it.

In other news, I grabbed the cream shetland from NMWA. Really into it. Went up a size to L, per their recommendation. The cut is more straight down the sides rather than curving in at the hem like trad shetlands. I think it wears more casual/contemporary as a result. Experimented with some diverse fits, can see myself layering it under shirts all winter.

Just got the new moleskin western and it's awesome. Went back to an XL with this guy (large for the flannel western, XL for the chambray workshirt and tencel western). Fit is great, but definitely the slimmest out of my Wythe shirts.

Maybe it's different with the size smalls compared to larger sizes but my moleskin pearl snap (current season) is only a tad smaller than the same size in the flannels. I wouldn't consider either slim. Flannel is noticeably longer in the sleeves

The Chainstitched Workshirt has a little bit smaller measurements than their other shirting that I didnt realize. Tighter around the shoulders and a little shorter than expected...

I'm absolutely in love with mine, but couldn't agree more about the shoulders. Far from uncomfortable, but definitely a little tight, and I'd say the armholes seem to be cut relatively high. The fabric has an amazing hand for those wondering, it's got that very elusive feeling where it seems like it originally was a very beefy workwear item, that's now broken in and soft.

I sized down for it and am pretty happy (for a 'normal' fit).

Meanwhile I went TTS as recommended on the moleskin and it fit like a tent, with the shoulder seams a good 1-1.5" away from where they should be. I get the whole 'cut for layering' thing, but I could have layered it over some jackets.

Deliberately sized up here, could have easily gone with a L (rather than the XL), but wanted I could get a thick flannel underneath on cold days. I can see where most won't really like how I did this mind you.

Wow I can't imagine sizing down on this, I went with the same size that I did on the tree overshirt.

I'm beginning to wonder if the sizing is just straight-up inconsistent, either across the range of sizes (eg gap from L-M is not proportional to M-S) or from item to item.

I wear a medium/40 in virtually everything across tailoring and workwear, and I'd say the small herringbone fits a touch on the slim side, but not dissimilar from most things I own. It's got a decent amount of give, so it gets away with it.

IMO looks pretty good! My concern though is with that much space inside the chest, and with the hem that loose, how warm will it actually be?
