"intended fit"

Also, 18'' shoulder measurement for a size M, if this does indeed equate to a size L ("size down"), is pretty damn small imho.

It does seem "intended fit" is the key phrase - they seem to be TTS *if* what you want is the NoMan/18east/CanoeClub slouchy look, but for a more 'normal' fit, it seems that just like the gab pearl snaps, it's size down

But that's just my impression from the thread; I will, of course, yield this opinion to anyone who's actually bought one of the things lol

Yeah, maybe you're right. But again, I can't get around that the size that would be equivalent to a regular size L has a 18'' shoulder width. Seems way too small to me.

I haven't received my flannels yet, but I will report back on this when I do.

[Another possible solution]...might just be to order the size you need depending on the fit you are looking for. It's a crazy idea for sure, but it might just work!

Sure, but by all accounts this company's sizing is far too wildly inconsistent to do that. The guy just a page back tried that and ended up a moleskin sausage. I bought my normal size in the gab snap and felt like I was wearing a tent

So Flannels = size down, molskines = TTS (o

Correct. Also literally the fit that Peter intends for this style, as he discussed in the interview he did that was posted not too long ago (was that the Huckberry one?) and as he’s been styling in his lookbooks.

the flannels fit big and can absolutely be sized down. The moleskins, as I’ve been saying and posting PSA about in our thread, do not fit that way. They fit smaller and I’d say they need a size up for the intended fit. They will look fitted TTS. I’d personally size up.
also, we spend hours measuring stuff to make those decisions easier for you guys, so… measurements. Look at them?

The measurement charts for the sand dunes snap flannel and the desert rock moleskin are exactly the same on your site.

Ok so that makes me mad and I’ll yell at Kenshawn because I personally measured these shirts and gave those to him to enter ! ??

I'm confused, is that Kenshawn the bot we are talking about?

It’ll be interesting to see the reaction to the knits. I jumped on an XL based on the IG live NMWA did, and I’m a M in the flannels, L in the snaps (and generally a 16 shirt, 41Lish).

Wythe finally posted them on their site yesterday and noted they will stretch some. Still think I made the right call. Based on how it’s styled on Dan it looks a tiny bit off, on the older guy it appears to be sized up, which I think a sweater like this should be?

as someone who's tried on most of wythe's stuff, i normally wear a large and wythe's larges fit me across the board, regardless of "intended" fit.

not to confuse you guys too much

Just got my western flannel. It's so dang good. Glad I sized down to the large; it's perfect.

It fits a bit big, but not oversized. The concern was shoulders, but those fit great, and I have broad shoulders. Another concern was length, but, as you can see, it’s just fine (although, I wouldn’t mind another inch in body length), and I’m 6’3.

Still not convinced. 18'' is 18'', no matter what @justridiculous says about it. Might be some kind of conspiracy, now that I think about it.
