Don't be offended! You know the average US size suit is now 44R? Of course, to quote Ryan Gossling in Crazy Stupid Love "You're wearing a 44 when you should be wearing a 42 regular..." true for so many men... haha!

Question on the Bejamin shirt shoulders - I noticed the 15.5s are listed with 17.3 shoulders. My slimmest of slim 15.5s are 18.25 (and most are 18.5 to 19). Granted, I'd say my shoulders are just slightly broader than average but 17.3 sounds beyond slim and into waif/model territory.

Hmmm, are they constructed in a way that would explain it? Maybe the armhole is "inset" more than usual (like I've seen on some casual "muscle" shirts) and/or curves in a way that where the measurement is made it's deceiving? Or, are they just super slim at the shoulder and I'm out of luck?

Yes - exactly. They are constructed/designed in a way so that the armhole starts slightly higher/above where the shoulder meets the arm. I'll post closer up fit pics when I get a chance next week for you to see.

^ Just adding to what Ben said...

I think this is fairly typical of several Italian brands/makers. I have a 15.5 Finamore shirt that has a shoulder measurement of 16.5 with chest measurement of 21.5. So, slim, but not crazy slim.

I actually just ordered 3 (light blue, white, and the sky blue end-on-end [bravo!]); but pics may help others who are on the fence for the same reason.

Oh, something I noticed while browsing the 15.5's - I saw that there were both "trim" and "medium" fit shirts, with appropriately different sizing. If possible, you might want to call attention to that a bit more only because I barely noticed it and might have incurred some unnecessary returns if I hadn't.

    Regardless, looking forward to mine!

Thanks for the order and for the suggestion regarding the 2 different fits - we should definitely do something to make that more clear.

Ben, any updates on ETA for the new Benjamin suits? And how much higher do you think the prices will be? I'm tempted to pull the trigger on one of your current ones, but I think I'll like the tweaks, including the extra 1 cm in the pants, that you're making on the new ones.

Also, did you get a new batch of Caruso suits? And does the white Caruso label mean anything? Haven't seen that one before.

The factory is waiting for my OK, but I think I still need to tweak the sample just a little bit more... I'm still hoping we'll have them next month though. What color and size did you need? We may be able to swap out the pants for you if you wanted to go with the current inventory...

Have peppered in a few more Caruso's but not many... still have a few more not yet online.

Waiting. I was so impressed with the Benjamin Trousers, I bought a suit. For the price, there is no comparison.

Will the new trousers be made in more than the previous colors (navy, medium grey, and charcoal)? I think I would pick up one of anything you put out at this point :nodding:

    Thanks for the nice post.

Probably will probably offer a tan pant also. May do some fancies later this year too.

[IMG] The collar stays are great but the long ones don't fit any of my shirts. It's great to be able to add a little bit of curve because I never wear ties.

I have been really curious about the brand Riviera, their website has been stuck on a "Work in Progress" message for over a year now. And it's almost impossible to find much info about the label elsewhere on the internet.

Could Ben provide some more info on this brand? It seems it's impossible to buy their goods these days.
