Good question. I was thinking more of the versatility factor with the chest patch pocket maybe making it look too casual. Now, I don't really know. But I can definitely say that I would prefer anything over buttons of any type of metal.

Hmmm... haven't seen these kinds of buttons - leather shanked yes, but nut button with shank escapes me at the moment... pics of examples?

Hard to say for sure, but we have a 30 day return policy - might as well give it a whirl... we may even be able to switch out the pants for a smaller pant depending on which suit you want and availability...

On the lookout for a nice hopsack in a nice quality at reasonable price - still searching but high on the priority list.

Also considering horn... we'll see. Maybe we'll offer a choice especially since sleeves are basted anyway. I'm leaning towards MOP as the default and maybe offering horn or maybe even corozo like we have now on the suits. The patch pockets on the hip should be enough to distinguish it as a jacket...

Regarding timing - we have more suits coming in (re-order of stock solids) hopefully by end of April/early May. Originally picked out some spring fabrics for same delivery but then came across a new source for better fabrics so put a hold on those other spring jacket fabrics. In a holding pattern for the jackets at this point, but have already bought awesome fall/winter fabrics which will be ready some time this summer for this coming fall.

I'm thinking something like this, but dark.

    Or dark horn.

Hmmm... admittedly not a fan of this one. I like a 4-holed button.

Just personal preference, but too casual, and I think two patch pockets :happy:ni it enough.

By the way, we're planning to offer Benjamin tux in a few months too - we made a few samples a few years ago but then shelved the idea - now we're going to move forward with it. Probably as a separates program for this too!

+1, and a peaked lapel single-button jacket too. This has gotten surprisingly tough to find among all the notched lapel two-button jackets out there.

I'll look into it, but will definitely offer black first.
