1. I'd like to announce that animated avatars are now available again. You'll have to reload, but they are once more possible.

We've been doing a ton of work behind the scenes. The site load speed was already under 1/2 of what Huddler's was, on average, and we installed cloudflare, which means that the site should be even faster. A ton more will go on in the weeks and months to come, and some things will be more visibile, and some less.

    Cheers,

That is a smoking price for the RLBL Tux.

Also, some people are going to eat up those Dior suits.

I've been looking at this Riviera SC in mushroom/tan plaid. I like the look and style of the coat, but I'm not entirely sure about the best shirts and pants to match to the fabric. My first thought was that it could work with a wide variety of colors, which was part of what appealed to me about it. But for some reason I feel less sure the more that I look at it. Any thoughts?

My friend ordered a Benjamin suit so I had a chance to try it on and just want to say that it's a beautiful suit, well made and a clean modern fit.

I'll be purchasing one down the road.

It's actually a little darker in real life. Truly a mushroom/tan color. Think a few stops darker than pictured. I think the truest color is in the full-length photos. And it's really very nice -- exquisite, really. The canvassing, lapel roll, and overall shape are lovely. You can wear it with most anything. I wear it with blues.

These are good thoughts. I like the idea of a cream colored shirt. Burgundy trousers maybe, although I don't now own a pair. I had also thought about dark green. I am reassured that it works with blues. I'm not sure why it wouldn't, but sometimes after you've stared at something long enough you lose your initial feeling about it.

I think I'll probably go for it. People seem to have only good things to say about these Riviera sport coats.

Wait, one more question (Sprout): Do you find that this SC is a little too dressy for some occasions? I mean the sorts of occasions when you would wear a SC. I can see why you would describe it as "exquisite," but I wonder if it isn't a little too much. I suppose it depends on you and on the setting. But it is very elegant and would be likely to get attention.

You will look better dressed than the average pancake flipper at IHOP.
Otherwise, it has a soft shoulder and patch pockets, plus swelled edges and some pick stitching. I think this is pretty casual and might be mistaken for dressy only at the discoteque, but who cares? It will turn heads because it will make you look awesome, but this is what we want, right?
I understand your question. The generous sweeping arc of the lapel roll and the plush canvassing at the chest give it a very masculine sense of gravitas. I think your attitude determines whether it has to be dressy or fun, however. The pattern itself is not super fun - nicely restrained.

Is that helpful? You can dress the Riviera SC up or down. I have more than one, and it serves nearly as a model for future commissions.

The order has been placed. I have high expectations for this SC. Thanks for the help. Perhaps this will be the start of my own collection.

Word must be quietly spreading about the Riviera jackets because they're definitely starting to move....

Are there any news on Benjamin Sartorial sportcoats and blazers?
Also, a restock of the Granoro Navy would be nice.

Sportcoats next Spring (sad to say we couldn't get them sooner). Navy suits on order - slightly different from the Granoro but we think you guys will like it!
