you have to understand that 'acne jeans' is part of a swedish creative firm called "ACNE" which is an advertising and media and digital production creative

i believe that the jeans line was initially called 'acne action'

www.acne.se

if you go to www.acnejeans.com and click on history, there's an interesting account on how the jeans line started from basically an advertising related creative project of distributing 100 pairs of jeans to friends and clients that then got in the hands of boutiques that wanted to sell them

I like the name too...is it just because you compare it to the word that you hate it?

Acne reminds me of Acme, like an industrial company. I saw a fashion newlsetter type thing in a Swedish store that was called Acne too. I don't think it was related to the jeans company.

It's not like acne writes the word acne all over their jeans. I would guess that most people here don't buy their jeans based off the name anyway.

Nice to see I'm not the only one...I thought I was crazy when I first came up with that one.

I think it's funny. Not as bad as Nudie.
