Gianni Agnelli, the Godfather of Style

This one is worth reading
1. for a few interesting annecdotes about his life
2. The last few lines--

"A lot of Italians—really good business people—try to be like him," says Rabensteiner. "He's Gianni Agnelli, after all. An icon. But nobody gets it—nobody. It's not the clothes. It's the character, the way. You can be inspired by him, but you have to do it by finding your own style. It's not only the beauty of putting the watch over the shirt; it's something unique, the elegance in his mind...
The few times I've seen a person with the watch outside the shirt, it has, to me, looked ridiculous. Because you know it's a person doing a copy. And the person doing a copy is almost always the wrong person."

You gotta chain your wallet. Only by drawing attention to youself can you blend in enough to avoid getting jacked.

  • It’s a mark of quality and craftsmanship

  • I like it when it’s subtle

  • I don’t like visible stitching

  • Doesn’t matter to me
