Any idea who makes Brosnans watch in the movie? Its a black alligator strap with a gold face, other then that im clueless about watches. Im thinking Cartier but something tells me otherwise.

I think it may have been a reverso but it's been a while since I saw the movie.

Yes, it definately is just with the label removed because of Brosnan's prior engagement to Omega

What is the deal with the Reverso, just that the dial can be switched around? Is there any other significant features of this watch? What do you guys think of the quality of the Reverso compared to other similar priced watches? Thanks.

They're many different Reverso models. Some are one-sided with an engravable back, some have two faces, some are skeletons on one side, some have various complications, etc.... Jaeger LeCoultre is an elite maker. IMO, JLC offers the best value among the elites.

I remember the interesting thing was that while the watch was obviously a Reverso, the close-up of the dial did not say Jaeger LeCoultre.

Wholeheartedly agree. and a Reverso is a lifetime classic.

jamesbond, be aware of the different sizes though - from classic (smallest) to XGT (largest).
After going through a number of Reverso in different sizes, I settled on the GT size

GDL, I have had my heart set on that watch for seven years. Stunning. Congratulations.

That's probably my favorite incarnation of the Sun/Moon date on the market...
