    Proper size shoetrees might help.

As a preventative measure or to mitigate the current wrinkling?

Certainly preventive. Although that's an odd place to get wrinkles, unless the shoe was worn incorrectly.

I'm not sure about shoetrees getting rid of pre-existing wrinkles.

I think something heavy was stored atop the shoe. Do you think the shoe is wearable in public or is the wrinkling too distasteful? I'm leaning towards the latter...but the shoe is very beautiful.

    Distasteful? non-sense.

The wrinkles are in a relatively inconspicuous area. Wear the shoes with pleasure.

With proper care I'm almost certain a majority of the wrinkles will dissipate, A rather distinctive shoe don't pass up on them. I wish I wasn't a size 12.

I have a pair of Italian made Church's shoes (actually made by Lavorazione Artigiana) which have almost identical creases. I think it's a defect in the leather, but it's really not that noticeable when I'm wearing them. I wouldn't try to dissuade you from purchasing these.

How do you sit? If you cross your left leg over your right knee, as I do, that portion of the shoe is going to be staring you in the face quite a bit of the time. If its bothering you now, it may well annoy the hell out of you when you are actually wearing them. If you don't sit that way however, I wouldn't think it would be very noticeable. Anyone know who makes shoes for YSL?

They were probably stored in a crappy area and got pinched on the side by a box or something. Might come out, worth a shot.

That's a good question. I'm interested in finding out. Google didn't churn out any enlightenment. Are you a 7.5, tonylumpkin (don't want to infringe on your privacy by using your real name)? Ahh, geez. I just found out where people's profiles are. Never mind!

    Me too.

Is it just me or do the heels seem unusually high?

I thought the same thing when I first looked at it
