    Even if I didn't mind the more casual look, I would go with something longer. This appears to be about the same length as a suit jacket.

    A peacoat is a casual coat and I would not advise wearing it over a suit--especially this one which is shiny polyester and too short to be worn over a suit jacket.

    In-fact, being made from that fabric, I don't think I'd even really consider it a peacoat.
